Vision-Based Position Deviation Measurement of Rail Corrugation Chord Measuring Points Under Bi-Linear Laser Assistance

During the dynamic measurement of chord-based rail corrugation, with interferences curve and train snaking movement, it is hard to ensure that measuring points on surface can trace railhead centerline well whole time. This introduces position deviations system, leads results cannot reflect true irregularity state. To solve problem, a deviation method based assistance bi-linear laser proposed in this paper. First, by means three verifications composed color, dimension position, stripe regions are located from original image effectively. Then, suppressing highlight texture modifying traditional Steger algorithm flexible-widths Gaussian template, we extract accurately, depict boundary fast. Last, locating calculating distances them centerline, obtain each point. The efficiency superiority verified vast experiments. show accuracy limited within 0.4mm.
